IMD is ranked number one outside the United States and number two worldwide in the Financial Times 2009 Executive Education Rankings. IMD’s open programs were ranked second (up from third in 2008) and custom-designed programs fourth.
“The rankings demonstrate IMD’s ability to adapt to the changing needs of companies around the world,” stated IMD President Dr John R. Wells. “Leaders are seeking inspiration, motivation and perspective. We’ve been privileged that our learning partners have called upon us to provide just that.”
“We are delighted to be so highly ranked once again,” commented Professor Seán Meehan, Dean of External Relations. “These are very exciting times. Clients want us to partner with them more closely than ever. We’re focusing on helping them not only cope with these unprecedented conditions but emerge as winners.”
Over the past year, IMD has introduced new programs designed to help companies address the new challenges (Leading the Global Enterprise, Accelerated Executive Development Program and Advanced High Performance Leadership).
“The improvement in our open program rankings is testament to our Faculty and staff’s continued dedication to deliver relevant programs,” said Guy Schröcker, Director of Open Programs. “We are proud that our participants have judged us accordingly.”
Once again, IMD ranks among the elite partners for custom program design and delivery.
“We work hard to continue to be a pioneer in custom programs,” concluded Mike Stanford, Executive Director of Partnership Programs. “It's satisfying to see that our efforts to make a difference with our clients continue to be reflected in the Financial Times survey results.”
