For the 9th year in a row, IMD is searching for the best startups in Switzerland.
Significant parts of both IMD's Executive MBA and full-time MBA programs are dedicated to developing a better understanding of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial process, skills that are critical for senior executives in all positions and companies. This is not an effort towards creating entrepreneurs (though that may happen); our goal is that IMD's MBA students know how to work with early-stage companies, be they as suppliers or eventual acquisitions, but also that they have some understanding of the conditions necessary to nurture an idea from "garage to profit". Perhaps they'll even be confronted with renegade teams in their own corporate worlds, which don't fit the big-company mold, but which generate lots of hot ideas - our MBAs have to be comfortable coaching them.
We are looking for startups at various stages of development but that share a set of attributes:
- A committed team that is curious and willing to open up to a small group of management "students";
- A venture that can provide a good learning opportunity for these participants;
- Evidence of a solid chance at market success;
- Resources in place to take their venture forward over the next 9-12 months.
In return, each selected startup will receive the support of a group of experienced, dedicated and bright MBAs or EMBAs to further the development of their venture. Over the past eight years, well over 100 local startups have benefitted from the questions, analysis and insights of our MBAs.

Please note that the deadline for submissions (a 2-page executive summary) is November 6. If you know of entrepreneurs in Switzerland in early-stage companies who would be interested in this opportunity, please pass this on to them now.
