George Kohlrieser wins French business book award

We are pleased to announce that the DCF (French Association of Business Leaders) has unanimously confered the “Best Business Book Award 2007” to “Négociations sensibles” by George Kohlrieser, published by Village Mondial. (This edition is the French-language adaptation of Professor Kohlrieser's book "Hostage at the table", Wiley, 2006).

The French Association of Business Leaders brings together leaders of the business sector through a network of 90 local associations totaling more than 3,000 members. Every year since 1979, the local association of DCF in Nice organizes the award for the best business book dealing with the dynamics of business activities.

The purpose of the DCF award is to honor books that contribute to the enhancement of business activities, to their effectiveness and their dynamism.

Commenting on the award, Professor Kohlrieser said: "I am honored and deeply grateful to receive this distinguished award from the DCF. I share this recognition with all my friends and colleagues at IMD, all the teachers and mentors who have helped me on my journey, particularly Warren Bennis, and the thousands of leaders around the world who have used this book for their personal and professional leadership development especially as influencers, negotiators, and change drivers.

"This award re-affirms the importance of building strong working relationships for leadership and business success. It is also a recognition of IMD, which continues to be on the cutting edge of leadership development."

On February 1, 2008 at the National Assembly, Paris, the author will be presented with the award and will also moderate a roundtable debate.

Professor George Kohlrieser is Director of the High Performance Leadership program. He also teaches on the Leading the Family Business, Mobilizing People and Orchestrating Winning Performance programs.
