In the Executive MBA program, you will be surrounded and inspired by a community of global leaders. The combination of world class participants, Faculty, and alumni guarantee a rich and diverse learning experience.

Learn from remarkable colleagues

Among the most valuable assets of the Executive MBA program are the knowledge and insights of the participants themselves. The exceptional managers we target for this program are key employees for their companies and provide tremendous value to their customers. They come from a wide range of industries, nationalities and business experiences.

Their average age is 39; their average work experience is 15 years. All are fast-rising, internationally experienced managers who aspire to lead. Smart, motivated achievers. A powerful group in the mood to learn, in which each member benefits from the others. Participants build valuable relationships for their company and their career.

“For people with a passion for learning, IMD creates a high-powered learning environment on-campus, during the expeditions and throughout the distance-learning assignments.
The massive experience of my fellow students, coming from all over the world and from different cultures and industries, was overwhelming and inspiring. My EMBA classmates were all highly energetic and inquisitive people eager to learn, which speeded up the learning process. I found this very inspiring and it helped me to improve my own performance.”

Join IMD’s global alumni base

What is the profile of an Executive MBA graduate?
Our graduates have learned how to ask good questions, to figure out which questions need asking, and to critically evaluate the answers they get – be it in the context of investigating a new business opportunity, exploring customer issues, or examining the financial implications of a chosen strategy.

Each of our graduates has developed a keener general management mindset, a greater openness to new ideas, and an ability to interpret new situations. They’ve developed an appreciation for businesses and issues outside their own areas of expertise, taking great advantage of the many nationalities and industries represented in the class. They have built strong bonds and a strong network out of this tremendous diversity. This is an invaluable resource that will always stay with them.

What does it mean to be an IMD alumnus?
Upon completing the Executive MBA, you will join three levels of IMD alumni: your Executive MBA graduating class, the full Executive MBA alumni group, and IMD’s overall Alumni Network.

Years after graduation, our Executive MBA alumni continue to organize events and forums for support, continued learning, professional opportunities, and for further developing their class, and the Executive MBA alumni networks.

You’ll also be joining IMD’s robust Alumni Network. This is a powerful business network of more than 55,000 executives based in over 140 countries. Each of these executives has participated in an IMD program. The network is structured into more than 40 alumni clubs worldwide, all offering a wide range of learning and networking opportunities.
