What we look for

  • Solid intellectual ability
You must have the ability to grasp complex concepts and synthesize new knowledge rapidly.

More important than the length of your career is the quality of your experience: how your responsibility has increased, the breadth and depth of the knowledge you have acquired, and the impact you have made on your organization.

  • Far-reaching international outlook
We look at the time you have spent living outside your country of origin, the international scope of your career and your knowledge of foreign languages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
Both in the classroom and out, the ability to work well in diverse teams is key to staying on top.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn and contribute
Our program is highly interactive and we look for participants who will contribute to the learning of the entire class.

"In my opinion, the admissions process at IMD, and the interview in particular, is amongst the most rigorous of all business schools. The Admissions Committee poked, prodded, pushed and probed their way through the various parts of my application, as well as my personality, attributes, abilities, goals and experiences."
