The IMD MBA Program overview
The program starts with business fundamentals, e.g. accounting, finance, marketing and operations. This helps you to understand the functional areas of the organization and how they work together. The second half of the year is highly project-based, allowing advanced application of the fundamentals to real leadership situations with a strong sense of ethics.
Final grading is based on exams, class participation and group projects.

January - November
We limit our program to 90 participants because this kind of leadership development involves a high degree of personal attention and coaching. |

January - June
The traditional core subjects such as accounting and marketing are covered at the beginning of the year. They are split into two parts, with exams at the end of each.

March and June
To complete the program, you must pass exams on all business fundamentals courses and successfully present your start-up project. You will also complete a series of two-day integrative exercises. You and your study group will analyze a case or participate in a buiness simulation and present a detailed action plan to a panel of Faculty. |

January - June
You and your team will work with real start-up companies to develop their business plan and gain valuable insights into the specific needs and mindset of the entrepreneur. |

June
Participants take part in IMD's Orchestrating Winning Performance program, a leading executive education program which offers world-class networking. The entire IMD Faculty team also takes part in OWP, sharing its most recent work on key issues. You will also launch the first phase of your ICP project. |

July
You and the rest of your class will spend time in South Africa working directly with SMEs. You will learn more about the country, and develop ways to help their businesses and make an impact. |

August
Learn how to drive performance in the complexities of the global environment. |

Mid-August to mid-October
Work directly with CEOs and board-level executives of global companies on current strategic issues. |

|
September and October
Throughout the program, guest speakers and workshops help you prepare for your job search and interviews. In September, two weeks with no scheduled classes allows you to focus on your job search: either independently off-campus or through on-campus first-round interviews. An extra week in October gives you time for second-round interviews. |

Learn how to implement strategies effectively in order to get the desired results. |

Develop your knowledge in specific areas of interest to you. |

A series of sessions on cutting edge leadership, including sessions on 'Leading into an Uncertain Future', led by IMD President, John Wells. You will synthesize your learnings and develop your vision of your future career and impact. |
