CASE STUDIESIMD has been writing case studies for over 50 years as a teaching tool for developing the leadership capabilities of executives at every stage of their career. Renowned for their international focus, IMD cases are used in schools around the world. |
Case study approach
The case method describes real management issues in real companies. Cases are used as a basis for class discussion and give participants the opportunity to take on the roles of key players in actual business situations.
About IMD cases
IMD cases are developed by IMD Faculty and research staff, usually in cooperation with a company whose management issues provide a key learning point. The case development process may take from a couple of weeks to several months, depending on a number of factors, such as the availability of company contacts and the time needed to move from the first draft to the final company approved version.
